Welcome to the home page of the Lanier Middle School PTSA Website
We want to welcome everyone back for another great year at Lanier Middle School. There are many things going on within the middle school, the reading lists for all grades are posted on the school website, Mrs. Garrison, our new media specialist is requiring all the students to have a book in hand for those "extra" minutes to read, check out the Reflections page for the forms and rules for this year's Reflection Contest. The theme is "Diversity means..." what a great theme for our cluster as we already know what diversity is within our own school! Projects will be due on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 to the media center by the end of the school day. No late entries will be accepted.
Our fundraiser has just ended, but you can still order magazines for credit. Just use our school code that your students have in the fundraiser packet or email us at laniermiddleptsa@bellsouth.net for information. The limo lunch ride and fundraiser celebrations are coming up in October and November.
We will be continuing our efforts to go green along with the school. We will be adding a PTSA section to the newsletter, the Longhorn Ledger, in an effort to reach more families. We are also on facebook. Be sure to become a fan there to keep informed of all upcoming news and pertinent information.
There is still time to join the PTSA at Lanier Middle. Email us at laniermiddleptsa@bellsouth.com for information on getting a form. We did not do online registration for PTSA this year, so if you think you filled it out there, please let us know, so we can find out if a payment is pending for you.
There are also still a lot of volunteer opportunities open. We have opportunities to fit every time commitment and we do not require you to attend PTSA meetings, just be willing to help at the school when you can. A list of these opportunities can be found on the website. Check out our committee page here to see what each committee does around the school.
